On the 3rd Day of Christmas: Children's Book, "Soft Enough for a King"

On the 3rd Day of Christmas my true love gave to me...
"Soft Enough for a King," a beautifully written & illustrated Christmas children's book!

I know you will fall in love with this interactive book just as we have.
Due to the fact that our family has a tiny +1, my Husband and I have been desperately searching for more ways to incorporate the true meaning of Christmas into our holiday traditions.
This incredible Christmas children's book has met our every wish!

"Soft Enough for a King," makes it easy for families to start their own tradition of service. In each box is a handmade wooden Manger, paper straw to record acts of kindness, a Christ child doll for Christmas Eve, a poem and a beautifully illustrated picture book. In the tradition of classic tales like, "The Little Drummer Boy," it tells the story of a Bethlehem innkeeper's son who helps those in need while preparing the Manger for a special baby on Christmas Eve.

We decided to read our copy together, as a family, on November 30th. After reading the story, we came up with a week's worth of small acts of kindness that we would provide together for others.

On the first day, we prepared a small gift for our postal worker.

On the second day, we purchased a Starbuck's gift card and gave it to the drive-thru teller and asked her to use it on the next few customers until it ran out.

Today, we purchased a dozen roses from our local grocery store. We carefully wrapped each one with a Christmas ribbon and delivered it to a nursing home that specializes in patients with Alzheimers.

Tomorrow, we plan on donating some of our gently used clothes, toys and electronics. We hope the items we donate will help make someone's Christmas a little bit brighter.

I honestly cannot think of a better way to spend the holiday season than providing service with the ones you love. I am certainly looking forward to the many more acts of kindness we will provide for those in need this holiday. I truly hope by Christmas Eve our Manger will be, "Soft Enough for a King".
